Tone and Probe KIT to identify cable pairs
Overview
Pair tracing with an oscillator and probe is the quickest way to identify cable pairs. Just connect a signal to the line and search for it at the distant location with a Tracing Probe.
It will be possible to trace the signal at about 10km (7 miles) from the oscillator depending on the gain of the probe and the local ambient noise at the receiving end (further is often possible).
