Series 423 M16 Connectors are screw locking according to DIN EN 61076-2-106. Some connectors have industry-standard DIN contact layouts, others are special to Binder. Contacts range from 2 to 24 per connector and are either silver- or gold-plated. The connectors provide excellent EMI shielding via a shielding ring or cable clamp, and are rated IP67 in mated condition. Current rating ranges from 7 A to 1A per contact, depending on the number of contacts per connector.

Cable plugs are available in straight or 90° form and feature an internal strain relief. Straight plugs are made from nickel-plated brass, while 90° plugs have nickel-plated zinc diecast housings. The cable connectors can accept cables with an OD of up to 10mm. Receptacles are either front-or rear-mounted, with solder cups, PCB solder pins, or attached flex circuits.
