A latching relay is different from a regular relay because it retains its state (either on or off) without needing continuous power to stay in that state.

The module's relay is single-pole, double throw and can handle 250VAC at 10A or 30VDC at 10A. A button is fitted to the module for easy switching access, or you can use the included cable - simply short the two wires to switch the relay. The module's control circuitry requires 12V DC.
