The tester displays the voltage on red LEDâ€™s which increment as the voltage increases. There is an LED indication for polarity when DCV is measured. No switching of the meter on as the tester automatically turns on when voltage is applied to the two test probes. The MT474 incorporates a Low Impedance Test, which induces a basic load of approximately 6kÎ© at 690 volts. The voltage tester can show the direction of the rotating field with three-phase systems, with the direction of field shown as L = anticlockwise and R = clockwise. The tester can be used as a Single Pole phase tester and measure continuity up to 400kÎ© plus RCD Test.
